VELC’S Circle Of Friends

Invest in the future of our children….

Variety Early Learning Center’s Circle of Friends

Maintaining service levels and program diversity to keep pace with our community’s increasing population requires support from grants, donors and foundations. Special thanks to the City of Las Vegas Community Block Grant, City of North Las Vegas Block Grant, NV Energy, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and the many foundations, and donors that have awarded grants provided donations.
Preschool has surprisingly enduring benefits lasting well into adulthood; better jobs, less drug abuse and fewer arrests are among advantages found in the study that tracked more than 1,000 low-income, kids for up to 25 years. Founded in 1955, Variety Early Learning Center is a non-profit, organization that provides quality childcare and services to families in greatest need while parents are employed in the workforce or engaged in goal-directed job training or in crisis recovery.  The Center, located in an economically depressed area of West Las Vegas is licensed by the Child Care Licensing Unit to serve 157 children from 6 weeks to 12 years old.Our Center is in dire need of monetary contributions to extend our Tuition Scholarship program as our funding for scholarships has run out hindering us from providing additional assistance to families in need. Your contribution will bring us closer to our goal of $50,000 in additional scholarships. You can greatly benefit our mission to serve the families of the working poor by making a donation. We are happy to acknowledge your donation on our Facebook page, within our school, and at our numerous events, (unless you prefer otherwise).Thank you for considering this opportunity to partner with our organization.Your contribution is tax deductible.

Gratefully yours,

Variety Early Learning Center

A very heartfelt thank you to the City of Las Vegas,  The State of Nevada, Clark County Nevada, City of Las Vegas Fire/Rescue Explorers, City of North Las Vegas and the United States Department of Agriculture.  Without you our progress would not be possible!

When you inspire a child you inspire the world… this is what impacts REAL change…… This was shared by one of the Volunteers from our Spring 2013 Repair and Clean up day on May 18th, 2013 at the  Variety Early Learning Center D Street Campus.
